Just Wanted to Say Hello!

Hello All!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We are 'Spirocreations', a husband and wife team who handcraft leather, moccasin style soft shoes/boots of all kinds. We also create a variety of bags, belts and leather cuffs. We are honored to be a party of the Winnipeg Etsy Street Team! Yeah Winnipeg!

I (Barb) create all the leather creations at this time while Isaac (husband) hand makes the various buttons, and other details which are included in the designs. Feel free to check us out at:

Spirocreations belts and cuffs can also be found at the amazing 'Sew Dandee' boutique in Osborne Village. I (Barb) also work there...come round and say hello sometime...we look forward to meeting all of you!

Knit-Off

On Sunday July 26th at 3pm W.E.S.T. is hosting a knit off on the Legislative grounds facing Osborne.

You have one of two options, coming out and competing for some great prizes, or just come out and knit for fun. If you wish to compete you must bring 6mm needles and a medium weight yarn, and we will be knitting 6"x6" squares, and hope to put them together to make a blanket later on. If you are not competing, bring whatever you would like to knit with, and just join in the fun.

To compete there will be sign up sheets the day of the Knit-off!

There will be 3 prize baskets:
-Ram Wools (heaven for Winnipeg knitters) has graciously donated a wonderful basket of knitting goods.
-The Costume Museum of Canada has donated a basket.
-And the Winnipeg Etsy Street Team has created a basket of goods from our stores.

There will be three categories to compete for:
1. fastest knitter
2. most creative
3. most promising new knitter (you will just have to tell us if you are a new knitter)

Can't wait to see you all there!

Introducing me

Hi there,
I'm Marlene of M-agination by Marlene. I just joined W.E.S.T. Thanks for including me. I knit and crochet all sorts of items but seem to get the most comments (and sales) from my kritter slippers. I like to think of new creations and ideas.

I currently work full time in HR for a national non-profit organization. It helps support my addiction to knitting and crocheting.

Visit my Etsy shop at www.magination.etsy.com to see a sample of my stuff.
