We're in the midst of summer, and even though this year's has had a lot of rain, it's been such an enjoyable time after the long winter. I can't believe we're half way through! Soon it will be time to start thinking about back-to-school, so we'll use that as our inspiration for this design challenge. Get ready for some great creative ideas coming from the WESTies participating in the challenge!

We know that our customers love to hear the story about the creative process and how we arrived at our finished products, so everyone will share a few comments about their process for when the entries are posted in the next design challenge post! The results of the challenge will be posted after the deadline, and then voting for your favourite will commence.

The new theme for this challenge is Back-to-School! What will the little ones need to get going this school year? A recycled notebook, some funky pencils? What about the older ones? How about a cool patch for their school bag, or some neat decor for their study space? There are lots of fashionistas that'll be thrilled with a lovely cowl, or a new top made with recycled fabric! WESTies have a whole month to come up with their design ideas and create, before we share their entries with you. The deadline for this challenge is Saturday August 16, with the entries being posted on Monday August 18. Once the entries are posted, be sure to come back and vote for your favourite. The winner will be announced one week later, on August 25th, and featured on the blog side bar until the next design challenge.
