WESTie Wednesday : ft Sarah Neville Studios

WESTie Wednesday with Sarah Neville of Sarah Neville Studios!

Welcome to WESTie Wednesday, where each week we get to know a proud WEST member and their Etsy shop! Learn about Sarah and their shop Sarah Neville Studios.

"My name is Sarah Neville and am the owner of Sarah Neville Studios. I am an artist from Winnipeg, MB. I create my illustrations with watercolour paints and pen and ink. When trying to create something new, my thoughts are that I always want to be able to put a smile on someone's face! Most of my items have a sense of humour to them, or at least I like to think they do. I'm lucky to have a home studio, where I can create my illustrations, next to my co-worker of Sarah Neville Studios, my husky."

"My shop has funny greeting cards for all occasions! All of my cards have silly puns or funny sayings, that hopefully brighten your day no matter what the ocassion may be. Whether it be a birthday, new baby or just because, I have a card for it!"

"My cards have prints of original watercolour illustrations. I also have illustration art prints with charming animal characters available in my shop!"

We asked Sarah “Why Etsy?”
"I have an Etsy shop to broaden my customer base. When opening my shop, I thought it would be a great way to reach a more global client base. Since opening, I have sent cards to countries all over the world, which is really exciting for me!"

"Hello, I'm Lauren. I like birds, plants and making things."

"I sell a variety of products including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, stuffed animals, purses, clutches, change purses, pillows, paintings, magnets, planters and digital art."

"I'm good at procrastinating and depriving myself of sleep. I enjoy music, thrifting and making lists. I don't enjoy trying to make decisions but I do enjoy trying to make people's days better. I'm an art student, excited to be taking Graphic Design in the fall. In the meantime I keep busy creatively by making, baking, sewing, and photographing. My business reflects my lack of focus and need to stay busy through its varied product line and packaging. With new ideas and inspirations all the time it's hard to keep myself limited to only certain projects."

"I do my best to use as much re-purposed material as possible without compromising the product's quality. I do this by recycling, thrifting and acquiring my materials locally. I re-purpose thread, zippers, chain, beads, findings, game pieces, camera film, lace, leather, t shirts, curtains, plastics, buttons and vintage jewelry pieces which I transform into new wearable products. I design and make everything in my creative space at home."

We also asked Lauren, "Why Etsy?"
"Having an Esty shop helps keep me motivated to create and promote my crafts!”
