We are excited to share with you that three of our local Winnipeg Etsy Street Team Vintage sellers will be at the Manitoba Riding for the Disabled (MRDA)18th Annual Super Flea Market taking place on February 4 and 5, 2016 at the Assiniboia Downs!
There will be 80 booths of antiques, vintage, collectibles, health products, crafts, jewellery and more! AND there will be a raffle for some great prizes!
Westies Lisa from Bitchin' Kitsch 'n' Kitchen, Kali from Atomic Age Vintage Shop and Liza from Rose and Rook will be there to share their extensive knowledge and their awesome wares--you don't want to miss out!

Shop at Etsy Vintage Vendors at the Grand Trunk Toy & Nostalgia Show this Weekend!

WESTie Wednesday : ft The InkPAD
WESTie Wednesday with Carla Giesbrecht-Wat of The InkPAD!
My process is pretty free flowing: I base my product on my history or memories, present life with children and images that can take you on a journey (with a little bit of humour). Right now my materials come from local/online stores that sell blank apparel. There are a few art stores that sell screen printing products in Winnipeg but I buy online most of my supplies. All the physical work is done in my basement and the digital designing is done on my laptop wherever I may be.
I do all my own product photography which is becoming another one of my passions and also have a very active Instagram feed which is growing daily.

"At The InkPAD, I sell hand screen printed apparel for babies/toddlers, totes, and cards/prints. My main demographic is young families, in particular, moms with young children."
I am a hard-working stay at home mom who loves to create things. I recently started screen printing and I fell in love. My goal is to create meaningful products that connect with the customer.

Wildwoodrose Vintage Market
On Saturday June 4th WEST had the pleasure of participating in the Wildwoodrose Vintage Market. Located in the Exchange District, the event was filled with amazing vendors, excellent music, good food and lots of great people. Being a part of this event allowed WEST to gain further visibility within the handmade and vintage community, and let those who might be interested in becoming part of WEST chat live with an existing member.

The event also put our volunteers' paper-folding skills to the test as we made paper hats out of Etsy wrapping paper for kids of all ages! We even had some talented youngsters show us how to make a paper crane…we’d better get practicing for next year!

Wildwoodrose Vintage Market 2016 - Saturday, June 4th

The market is a unique destination shopping experience in Old Market Square, the heart of The Exchange. Vendors will showcase their vintage, vintage-inspired, antique, up-cycled, re-purposed, steampunk and eclectic items!
The Exchange District Improvement Zone BIZ is excited to present Jess Reimer, The Noble Thiefs and Scott Nolan at the Cube Stage. Great food choices offered with "A Taste of the Exchange" by Chosabi, Fox & Fiddle, Miss Browns and The Mitchell Block. What an incredible way to spend a Saturday with friends and family!
