Book Signing this Saturday at Chapters St Vital

Link
Hello fellow Winnipeg Etsyians! My name is Jane Heinrichs (my shop is JaneHeinrichs). I've just started out on Etsy and I'm looking forward to meeting fellow crafty Winnipeggers.

I recently wrote, illustrated and self-published a children's book called, "Magic at the Museum." It is about a little girl, Anne, who visits and art gallery and has a marvelous adventure. The paintings in the gallery jump out of their picture frames and lead Anne on a face-paced romp around the building.

It is already getting some critical acclaim in Winnipeg (and London, England, where I am currently studying).

I would love to invite you to my book signing at Chapters St Vital on Saturday 20 December from 1-4pm. I love meeting people, and I look forward to seeing you there!

Hi there! I'm Jill. My passion is for vintage. I work out of a colorful space on the 3rd floor of the Old House Revival Company in Winnipeg. If you've been there, it's pretty recognizable for it's way out 50's and 60's furniture and decor. I also love vintage clothing and introduced Lunevintage on Etsy this summer. Since then, I've brought a lot of my collection into the local shop, and am thrilled to find that it's even more successful locally!

BeyondtheValley is my crafty Etsy shop. This fall I designed Anatomy Jack and Jill, felt dolls with organs worn outside their bodies. I work at a school and the idea came to me when presented with a challenge of bringing the concept of internal organs to a special needs student I work with. The name for the dolls was derived from the Anatomy Jane doll referred to in Greys Anatomy.

Creating things makes me happy. I especially love working with vintage materials to make something new and unexpected. Recently I'm loving hand painting on retro luggage, vanity cases and wallets.

Every day is a new chance to learn something new. I'm so excited that we can all have a chance to share what makes us happy here on our new Winnipeg street team!

hi Everyone :]

My names Leigh-Ann and my shop is Freckled Nest. I make lots of fun things, but I mostly work with paper, making albums and kits & custom stitching on bags. Freckled Nest had our 2 year shop anniversary this past September, and I've had a good balance of success thru etsy. It's one of my favorite places to be inspired and shop; I love the handmade :]

I'm into lots of different crafts and art forms but I'm especially drawn to anything with buttons, polka dots and stitching. All my favorite things :]

I have a daily blog at FreckledNest.com and Flickr, Youtube and my new favorite, Listo!

I hope we all get to know each other :)

Stay Warm! It's nippy out!

Smiles,
Leigh-Ann

PS. Thru December, I'm doing daily giveaways :] You're all welcome to enter :)

Rule Book - Join the Team

Want to be a part of the Winnipeg Etsy Street Team?

1. Are you an Etsy seller?

2. Do you reside in Winnipeg or the surrounding area?

3. Do you offer a positive community minded spirit and are you willing to share with and support other local artists, crafters, and vintage sellers?

If you've answered yes to all 3, you're welcome to join the team!

Being a member does not require involvement in all of the teams planned activities, meetings, chats, events or sales. Being a member DOES mean that you will be in loop when being informed on what is happening in our community. Isn't that exciting?
