"In the Heart of Canada, I find inspiration from the beautiful flowers and foliage in nature. The many different native grasses and flowers provide infinite forms to fuel my creativity. Both of my grandmothers passed down their appreciation for hand made items, whether sewn, baked, embroidered, quilted, gardened, crocheted or knitted. All manner of the "genteel" arts have always been a part of my life in one way or another.

Many of my most creative moments have happened during my daily commutes to and from work. An hour each way lets me write out ideas, create the verbiage for my listings and even work with my wire on the bus! You might be surprised how many knitters and crocheters there are on the bus. I create the smaller crochet components while commuting. Putting all my pieces together is a fun filled morning or afternoon on the weekends. I use new wire for the crochet parts. Some of the embellishments come from thrift store finds and a stash of vintage earrings from a friend.

I was also given some of the findings by a friend in the Assiniboine Chorus. Her sister has multiple sclerosis and cannot make jewelry anymore. Certain items in my shop are dedicated to giving back. With a purchase of these selected items, all proceeds (less the shop listing and shipping) are donated to MS Society of Canada and Assiniboine Chorus."

"My handcrafted crochet wire jewelry harkens the feeling of the Edwardian and Victorian era, where floral patterns and detailed crochet were abundant. My earrings are delicate and light to wear. The young find these unique and playful--creating a style of their own. They are suited well to women on the go. The lightness of these earrings means you don't feel the need to take them off as soon as you get home. Going out? Keep them on as they have the pizzaz and sparkle to keep up with you through the night."

"Etsy made it easy to sell my items. They have so much to offer. I didn't have to learn HTML coding to sell from my own site."
